Georgie’s - Denver Wedding Venue

Discovering Georgie’s: A Hidden Gem for Your Denver Wedding

As a Denver wedding photographer, I’ve had the joy of capturing love stories in some of the city’s most unique venues. Recently, I found a new spot I’m excited to share: Georgie’s. Tucked off Market Street, this venue is a true hidden gem, bringing charm and character to the heart of Denver.

Georgie’s has a classy, chic, and playful vibe, with warm, romantic lighting, lush greenery, and a stunning bar that practically begs to be photographed. Whether you’re stopping in for a drink, working from home in one of their cozy corners, or seeking a wedding venue in the actual heart of the city, Georgie’s is worth considering.

Opening in April 2024, Georgie’s is new to the scene, which means more availability than established venues. Its versatility as a wedding venue is a standout feature. The two-story building offers a unique mix of intimacy and space. The downstairs, with checkered tiles, natural light, and neutral walls, is perfect for an elegant ceremony. Upstairs, the greenery and cozy ambiance make it ideal for a personalized reception, with plenty of room for your décor and a lively dance floor.

While Georgie’s has an established vibe, it can be catered to various wedding aesthetics. It’s LGBTQIA+ friendly, centrally located between Union Station and Larimer Square, and within walking distance of hotels like The Four Seasons and The Thompson. Georgie's is a top contender if you’re looking for a venue with charm, character, and a prime location.

Pros:

  • LGBTQIA+ friendly

  • Great staff

  • Built-in bars upstairs and downstairs

  • Two stories

  • New venue—more availability

  • Prime downtown location near Larimer Square and hotels

  • Stylish, not a blank canvas, with options for customization

Cons:

  • The downtown location means parking can be tricky, though a garage is nearby

  • The existing decor might require additional customization to really make it feel like your own or the vibe you’re going for

  • Split between two levels, with some narrow areas

  • Limited information online

Georgie’s is a venue that balances character with flexibility, making it a great choice for couples who want something special in the heart of Denver.

Catherine Norwood

I am Catherine Norwood, a designer and photographer from Lawrence, Kansas. My job experience ranges from childcare to leading a media team at a summer camp. I also am an experienced freelance photographer, capturing senior and family portraits, headshots, and portfolio pieces for a beauty stylist. Through my previous work experience I have photographed and worked with a diverse group of people. Through each piece I design and in each moment I photograph, I not only aim to create something visually intriguing and intellectually stimulating, but something that will better society. By working with both photography and design I keep my perspective fresh and I constantly find new ways they can enhance and work with one another. As a designer and photographer, I don't only look to reach past the lens and screen to create positive relationships with the subject, but to also capture various cultures and areas so I can help others become socially aware of their surroundings.
